Dr. Allan Coates is an osteopathic doctor specializing in gastroenterology services. He has been a physician at Gastroenterology Associates of Western Michigan for the past 35 and has been a primary investigator at West Michigan Clinical Research Center for the past 24 years. He received his medical degree at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1980. He is board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. Dr. Coates performs procedures for gastroesophageal reflux disease, esophageal motility disorders, inflammatory bowel disease and chronic liver disease.
